Since we moved to Chapala from Rochester, NY over a year ago, the thing we have missed the most has been the authentic Indian food we used to get three times a week. So, of course, we tried a few Indian restaurants in Guadalajara, and each time we were disappointed. That is, until we happened to drive down La Paz from Chapultepec and noticed Bukhara and decided to try it.
WOW! The dishes at Bukhara are how delicious, authentic Indian food is supposed to be: bursting with flavors of a multitude of spices so that each bite is an explosion of savory, spicy, salty, and sweet deliciousness! So far, we've thoroughly enjoyed their mutton biryani, lamb rogan josh, keema matter, chicken korma, daal tadka (which we've ordered each time we've gone so far), chana masala, naan, mango lassi, and chai masala tea. Every single thing we've had has been absolutely delicious!
We have made the hour-long drive three times since we stumbled upon Bukhara about six weeks ago,and are planning to go again tomorrow. My mouth is watering already! -

After visiting multiple Indian Restaurants in Guadalajara area, we finally ended our search for good authentic Indian cuisine at this restaurant. Bukhara is by far the best Indian restaurant in taste and ambience compared to all the others. The staff were attentive and the menu had a wide variety of items to choose from. We were not disappointed with the taste of any dish we ordered, be it the maharaja platter or the Dal Bukhara or Kadhai Paneer. Even the desserts were really tasty.
If you are looking for some good authentic Indian food, then I would highly recommend Bukhara.
